Alternate Data Streams Scan Engine is a system utility for advanced users that enables you to scan your system for files that contain Alternate Data Streams (ADS), a Windows feature that allows developers to store additional file information and data. The ADS functionality can have a potential for abuse and experienced administrators may want to inspect their file system for suspicious file that contain unusual amounts of ADS data, the program will automatically rate the files as Good, Risky or Dangerous, making it easy to spot potential threats. You can then analyze the ADS content from a built-in hex viewer and also choose to delete or extract the Alternate Data Stream.
